Strict Eligibility & Socioeconomic Criteria
- Egyptian Nationality: Applicants must hold Egyptian nationality exclusively.
- Secondary Education Qualification: Must have completed Thanaweya Amma at an Egyptian public government school or graduated from a STEM School with top academic standing, meeting the minimum score thresholds published by the initiative.
- Socioeconomic Requirement: Applicants must be beneficiaries of the “Takaful & Karama” social solidarity program OR be among students officially exempted from public school tuition fees by the Ministry of Education.
- Exclusivity of Funding: Applicants must not hold any concurrent scholarship or financial sponsorship from another organization.
- Disciplinary Record: Must have a clean behavioral record with zero academic or disciplinary dismissals.
- Legal Commitment: Both the student and their legal guardian must sign the official scholarship terms agreement.
Step-by-Step Application & Selection Workflow
- Step 1: Portal Access: Access the official MOHESR scholarship portal using your National ID and the Secret Code (الرقم السري) printed on your Thanaweya Amma certificate.
- Step 2: Electronic Matching: The system will electronically rank and display eligible faculty choices based on your high school score and the geographic location of your secondary school (or the nearest available governorate).
- Step 3: Admission Testing: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to take a mandatory admission exam (اختبار قبول) administered by the coordination system.
- Step 4: Final Selection: Successful test candidates will be officially nominated to complete enrollment and bank account setup procedures.
- Application Window: The portal opens strictly from August 29, 2026, until September 2, 2026.
