More than 3.06 Million operations daily are processed on Fawry’s network, the rapid market penetration and consistent quality of service helped Fawry’s transaction volume soar to a remarkable 81 Billion-EGP record in less than 11 years Since its launch.
Our History
2 A vision to bring electronic bill payment to a country where traffic congestion and complex procedures were daily challenges plaguing consumers. A solution to support the pressing need for convenience and easy payment alternatives.
3 This idea was the brainchild of technology expert Ashraf Sabry, and from the mind of a visionary, Fawry was born.
4 Established in 2008, Fawry has since grown to become a premier provider of banking and payment technology services in Egypt.
5 After introducing 5,000 Points of Sale (POS) machines by 2010, Fawry was able to make its services available for bank payments. This allowed for quick and efficient bill transactions through traditional banking channels, a cornerstone service that has since propelled the company to the heights of the digital payment solutions space.
6 Since then, we have strived and succeeded in introducing service offerings tailored to the needs of our significant customer base, now comprised of over 35 million users.
7 Over Fawry’s 12 years of operation, we have managed to extend the reach of our offerings to consumers, enterprises, SMEs, and financial institutions, with our alternative digital payments, supply chain solutions, and mobile wallets rapidly gaining popularity.
8 And the journey continues. With the launch of Fawry FMCG, Fawry Accept, and the myFawry consumer app across smartphone platforms, we are able to diversify our product offering, meet the evolving needs of our users, and incorporate a greater number of merchants and consumers into Fawry’s fast-growing user base.
