Accelerate your career in the heavy automotive and manufacturing sector with the MCV (Manufacturing Commercial Vehicles) Summer Internship Program. Gain dynamic, hands-on industrial experience and develop elite technical skills across diverse engineering, IT, and corporate tracks at multiple MCV facilities across Egypt.
Production Engineering (Salhya): Shadow engineers across critical manufacturing sections including machining, fiber, seats, welding, sheeting, painting, CKD (Completely Knocked Down), and finishing.
Service Engineering – Buses & Trucks (Obour, Alexandria, Aga): Gain deep knowledge of automotive systems (Engine, Transmission, Brakes, A/C). Shadow technicians in unit repair (overhauls) and prepare technical reports to improve repair cycles.
Service Engineering – Passenger Cars (Obour): Assist in critical periodic maintenance, including changing automatic gearbox filters/oil, checking for oil leakages, changing fuel filter spark plugs, and testing radiator leakages.
Software Development (Obour): Develop applications using ASP.NET (WebForm/MVC), SQL Server Data, and front-end styling (CSS, HTML, Bootstrap) while assisting in technical design documentation and testing.
IT Technical Support (Obour): Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows/Linux applications, assist in LAN/WAN networking issues, and deploy new enterprise IT equipment.
HR Specialist (Obour): Assist in end-to-end recruitment screening, scheduling interviews, coordinating the MCV internship and training logistics, and performing administrative HR support.
Accountant (Obour): (General commercial and financial responsibilities tailored to undergraduate corporate exposure).
Academic Standing: Exclusively open to active undergraduate students. Final-year (graduating) students are explicitly excluded from all tracks. (IT/Software tracks accept students from the 2nd year up to the year before graduation).
Targeted Majors (Engineering): Mechanical Automotive & Tractors (highly preferred for Service roles), Mechanical Power, Mechatronics, and Mechanical Design & Production.
Targeted Majors (IT & Corporate): Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Business Administration (HR major preferred), and Commerce.
Linguistic & Soft Skills: Must exhibit a good to excellent command of the English language, paired with ambition, eagerness to learn, and very good teamwork capabilities.
Application Protocol: Candidates must create a profile on the official MCV HCM portal and apply under the “Internships” tab before the strict deadline on June 10, 2026.
Time Commitment: Interns must be available to complete the internship during June, July, or August for a duration of one month or two weeks (as per company policy).
Operating at a commercial vehicle giant like MCV requires moving beyond theoretical engineering into heavy industrial execution. For Production Engineering interns in Salhya, observing the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) section is critical. This is where locally assembled buses and trucks are stripped down into modular kits for international export, requiring absolute mechanical precision. For Service Engineering interns across Obour, Alexandria, and Aga, mastering Preventive Maintenance on heavy-duty powertrains and transmissions prevents catastrophic field failures. Bridging the gap between automated production lines and hands-on mechanical repair transforms an engineering student into a highly valuable industrial asset.
When applying through the MCV portal, hiring managers will heavily scrutinize your technical readiness for the specific track you chose. If you are applying for the Software Developer track, do not just list generic programming languages. Explicitly mention your foundational knowledge in .NET framework and SQL Querying. If you are applying for the Service Engineering (Buses & Trucks) track, mention that you understand the critical difference between maintaining a passenger car and executing a heavy-duty commercial unit overhaul. A winning technical hack is to state that your final technical report will utilize Lean Six Sigma to suggest improvements in the repair cycle, proving you possess the advanced industrial mindset MCV requires.
Q: Are final-year (graduating) students allowed to apply for the MCV internship?
A: No, the official requirements explicitly state that all internship tracks are “Open to students from all academic years except the final year.”
Q: Where will I be located during this internship?
A: Placements depend entirely on the track you choose. Production Engineering is based in Salhya. Service Engineering for Buses & Trucks has openings in Obour, Alexandria, and Aga. Software, IT, HR, Accounting, and Passenger Car Service roles are strictly located in Obour.
Q: What is the absolute deadline to submit my application?
A: Due to strictly limited spots, all interested students must register, create an account, and click “Apply Now” on the preferred department via the MCV HCM portal by no later than June 10, 2026.
