Launch your corporate career within the global energy sector with SLB’s Early Careers Functions Internship in Cairo. Gain elite exposure to high-impact live projects across Supply Chain, Finance, IT, or HSE at a world-leading energy technology company.
Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate on live corporate projects across diverse departments such as Finance, Marketing, and IT to support SLB’s massive global energy operations.
Supply Chain & Logistics: Assist procurement teams in tracking high-value inventory, optimizing vendor lead times, and managing operational workflows critical to oilfield services.
HSE Compliance & Reporting: Support the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) teams by organizing safety data, tracking compliance metrics, and supporting localized corporate health initiatives.
Financial & IT Data Analysis: Utilize enterprise software and data analytics to process financial reports, reconcile operational budgets, or assist in maintaining corporate IT infrastructure.
Academic Standing: Must be an actively enrolled undergraduate student specifically in your Junior or Senior year (3rd or 4th academic year).
Target Degrees: This specific intake is strictly tailored for Non-Engineering students (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, or Marketing majors).
Time Commitment: Be fully available to commit to an intensive, full-time 1-month corporate internship during either July or August 2026.
Location Availability: Must be physically capable of commuting and operating daily on-site at SLB’s corporate offices located in either New Cairo or 6th of October City.
Operational Mindset: Exhibit a strong sense of adventure and a willingness to tackle demanding corporate challenges in a fast-paced multinational environment.
Operating corporate functions at a global energy giant like SLB requires massive cross-departmental data synchronization, typically powered by advanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP. Whether you are a Finance intern reconciling multinational oilfield service budgets or a Supply Chain intern tracking the procurement of high-value drilling tools, your ability to navigate ERP databases and utilize Advanced Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP) is critical. Understanding how logistical lead times directly impact financial cash flow and IT infrastructure ensures that SLB’s field engineers receive their equipment on time, keeping global energy production running seamlessly without costly operational delays.
When interviewing for corporate functions at an engineering-dominated company like SLB, you must prove that you understand how your specific back-office role directly impacts front-line field operations. If you are applying for the Supply Chain track, do not just mention generic purchasing; discuss Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycles and how reducing vendor lead times minimizes Non-Productive Time (NPT) on the drilling rig. If applying for Finance, mention how you would use ROI (Return on Investment) metrics to evaluate new energy transition technologies. Showing the hiring manager that you can connect corporate administrative data (like IT uptime or HSE lagging indicators) to actual oilfield profitability will immediately secure your acceptance over standard business applicants.
Q: Who is eligible to apply for this specific SLB corporate internship?
A: This specific “Functions” track is exclusively designed for Non-Engineering undergraduate students who are currently in their Junior or Senior year of study (typically 3rd or 4th year).
