Managing human capital for a massive manufacturing and infrastructure conglomerate like Elsewedy Electric—which operates in 19 countries with over 18,000 employees—requires far more than basic administrative skills. The job description explicitly highlights “HR operations” and “recruitment.” In a heavy engineering and digital solutions company, the HR team relies on structured Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) to rapidly process hundreds of CVs without losing data integrity. Understanding how to integrate daily administrative support with high-volume, tech-driven recruitment cycles ensures the company’s manufacturing plants and corporate offices never face critical manpower bottlenecks.
When interviewing for this extended co-op program, the hiring panel will test your ability to handle high-volume administrative tasks under corporate pressure. Do not give a generic answer about “loving to work with people.” You must demonstrate an understanding of HR Metrics and Data Organization. If asked how you would support the recruitment process or day-to-day operations, explicitly state your methodical workflow. Tell the interviewer: “To ensure efficiency, I would utilize advanced Excel tracking to manage candidate pipelines, specifically categorizing them by ‘Time-to-Hire’ and ‘Screening Status.’ This ensures the Talent Acquisition team can quickly identify administrative bottlenecks in the recruitment cycle, allowing us to onboard critical engineering and corporate staff faster.” Proving that you treat HR administrative support as a structured, data-driven science will instantly secure your acceptance.
Q: Is this a short-term summer internship?
A: No, the job description explicitly states that this is designed as an “extended co-op program,” making it ideal for working students seeking long-term, continuous exposure to real-world HR operations.

A: Elsewedy Electric strictly requires applicants to be pursuing a university degree in Business Administration, Management, or a closely related academic field.
Q: Where is this Elsewedy Electric internship physically located?
A: This working student / HR Intern position is based on-site at the Elsewedy Electric corporate facilities located in New Cairo, Egypt.
