Key Accountabilities

  1. Reviewing and evaluating received credit proposals for new credit facilities and renewal of existing facilities for Small Business Companies through detailed analysis of the Company’s credit worthiness by evaluating the company’s financial statements, collateral coverage, guarantor support and credit lending history (if any) for credit approvals / rejection.
  2. Conduct in depth analysis of credit bureau reports (I-score reports) and cash flow statements to be able to determine potential risk and profitability of the provided / granted credit facility.
  3. Prepare and write credit proposals including supportive information of industry analysis to provide Credit Committee with reliable information for credit decision making regarding the client’s risk of default, credit rating and adequacy of the proposed financing.
  4. Evaluate and provide the needed recommendations in restructuring unfavorable credit applications
  5. conduct an in-depth financial analysis of public and private financial data, market trends, and microeconomic conditions to provide management with highest quality risk assessments, credit research, and comprehensive analyses that guarantees risk adequate pricing at all times.
  6. Stay updated with CBE regulations, market trends, regulatory changes and best practices to be able to provide sound credit decision.
  7. Follow all relevant approved department’s policies, and procedures and monitor adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
  8. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the department to ensure continuity of work
  9. Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal EG Bank policies and code of conduct to maintain EG Bank’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or any related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience, credit course is a must.
  • Experience within Banking Industry is a mandatory.
